Principal's Message
Ms Grace Carlo-Stella
Dear Parents/Guardians and Carers,
Welcome to the new school year, I hope you had the opportunity to have an enjoyable and meaningful holiday with your family. It is my privilege to serve as the principal at St Margaret Mary’s, and I am eager to work with you to ensure that our students have a successful school experience. Thank you to the staff, parents and students for the overwhelming welcome I have received as I begin my journey at St Margaret Mary's. I am truly blessed to be part of this great community. Over the coming weeks I hope to meet many of you and to work together to continue to build community.
I want to emphasise the importance of strong partnerships between our school, families, and community. Research shows that when families are actively involved in their children's education, students are more likely to experience academic success and personal growth. I encourage you to be an active participant in your child's education by volunteering, attending school events, and staying informed about what is happening in our school.
Love the Truth is our school motto. Loving the truth involves embracing the core values of our Catholic faith, values such as love, compassion, forgiveness, and to follow the teachings of Jesus. We have a commitment to living our lives in accordance with these truths and seeking a deeper understanding.
We are called to "love the truth", this year let's hold our motto central to all our day to day interactions with one another.
This year, we have many exciting initiatives and programs planned for the students. We are also committed to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment and to providing a rigorous and well-rounded education, ensuring every child has success.
Tomorrow we have our opening school mass where we will ask God to guide us during 2024, we also commission the student leaders for this year and welcome the new staff. I hope to see many of you at our first school Eucharistic celebration for 2024.
I especially thank Mrs Nancy Kubti for preparing the lovely celebration, Fr Wojciech Sliwa
for celebrating the Eucharist and to all the staff who have assisted in ensuring the celebration will be reverent and meaningful.
Kind Regards,
Grace
