NAIDOC Week Celebration

“For fifty years, NAIDOC themes have spoken to survival, resistance, culture, and pride. We honour the past, celebrate the present, and look forward to the future.”

Community and Parish members, staff and students joined together for the 2026 NAIDOC Week Celebration today. Students were invited to wear coloured clothing to reflect the Aboriginal Flag, Torres Strait Islander Flag and Australian Flag.

• Welcome to Country & Smoking Ceremony

• Liturgical Acknowledgement & Prayer: Reflecting on God’s creation and walking together in harmony.

• Student Storytelling: A special reading and mime of ‘How the Birds Got Their Colours’

• Traditional Aboriginal Dance Performance

• Cake Cutting: To celebrate the 50-year milestone.
