This year has been awesome so far. One thing I’ve really enjoyed at school is all my opportunities for sports. Two important things I achieved: I made it to the Zone Cross Country, and Zone Swimming Carnival. I did make it to the regionals, but I didn’t attend those carnivals. Another thing I did was I marched in the Anzac March in Campbelltown. Something I’ve learned about myself this year is I managed to learn how to be more resilient about myself and others, and I'm doing quite a lot of sports with my school.
As part of the SRC, I got to help other students from the SRC decide what we’re doing for the year, and attend some meetings which are helpful and give you some information about what we’re doing.A highlight for me was when we went on excursions to Liverpool Street University (which was a lot of fun), and Campbelltown Performing Arts where I got to see my old friend from Year 7 and 8. One event I helped with was I helped with duty with handing the balls to people near the volleyball court in Term 1.
Moving into Year 10 has felt all over the place, but I'm okay with that. One thing that is important is that we learn a ton of new things in different subjects. Being in high school for the first time made me a little nervous. In Year 6, It was a good year for me and the last year that I got to spend time with my friends I met between 2016 to 2022. In Year 7, I didn’t think that I was going to make a lot of friends there, but I did. And over the last 4 years of high school, I reunited with some of my old friends and I’ve made new friends as well. One thing that helped me settle in was the people I hung out with, and all the new things I learn in every lesson in every class. And definitely playing Nintendo at the HUB with some of my friends.
I’m looking forward to the upcoming events, including NAIDOC Week, TRED Day, and the Athletics Carnival, and I also go to Music Club every Wednesday. One goal I have for the rest of the year is maybe write new songs for my debut album. Because as of now, I'm going to be a singer and songwriter. I hope to be more involved in any activities that Mrs. Fretwell has to offer in the SRC Team-building activities for the year.

Hello! My name is Pranav Rao, and I am a member of the SRC for Year 11. This year has been exceptional so far, and I have had so much fun. A major highlight for me this year was Cross Country, because I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and jogged the entire way, instead of walking. It turned out to be a great experience with my friends.
Something that I learned about myself is that I have the potential to overcome anything, though my biggest hurdle is often finding the initial motivation to work for it.
As a member of the SRC, I attended our Networking day, at Campbelltown Performing Arts High School, where I interacted with student leaders from different schools. It was a fantastic opportunity to exchange ideas, collaborate, and build connections with peers from different schools.
Starting Year 11 for me was extremely petrifying. I was scared about assessments, workload, and increasingly difficult exams. Whenever someone brought up final rankings, marks, and ATAR, my stomach dropped. The sudden jump from Year 10 felt like standing at the bottom of a massive mountain without any climbing gear, and the pressure to perform perfectly from day one was overwhelming. The truth is, the initial panic didn’t vanish overnight. It took a few failed practice quizzes and plenty of exhausted evenings before I finally figured out how to breathe, manage my time, and realise that Year 11 is a marathon, not a sprint.
