Bayside Hosts CEN Education Support Network Meeting
Bayside Christian College had the privilege of hosting the most recent Christian Education National (CEN) Education Support Leaders Network Meeting. Leaders from schools across the network gathered at Bayside for an afternoon of collaboration, reflection, and encouragement as we shared insights into the vital work of supporting diverse learners across our communities.
Participants explored key focus areas including intervention programs, the role of learning assistants, effective timetabling, staff training initiatives, and secondary pathways such as VM. The sessions sparked rich discussion and practical sharing around how each of our schools can continue to strengthen inclusion and support for every student.
It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the heart of Bayside - a community dedicated to nurturing students academically, socially, and spiritually. Guests were encouraged by the sense of purpose and unity that underpins our collective work in Christian education.
The afternoon concluded with new ideas, strengthened partnerships, and a shared commitment to continue serving our students with excellence and compassion.
Thankful for Our Parent Helpers
We are truly grateful for all our parent helpers, especially Mr. Teerawutirod and Mr. Currie, who lovingly cared for the Primary veggie patch. Their service is a beautiful example of 1 Peter 4:10: using our gifts to serve others. Serving our community is a precious blessing, and we thank God for every parent partnership that strengthens and nurtures our school family.
Congratulations Mrs Cooper!
After winning the State Championship last season, our very own Secondary teacher, Mrs Rachelle Cooper, had the incredible honour of representing Australia at the World Triathlon Championships in Wollongong.
Competing in the Olympic distance event — a 1.5 km ocean swim, 40 km ride, and 10 km run — Mrs Cooper described it as both her most challenging and most rewarding race experience yet.
Her message to others is simple yet powerful: “Never say never. Work hard, and don’t be afraid to take risks by trying new things.”
Congratulations, Mrs Cooper, on this remarkable achievement and for inspiring our Bayside community with your dedication, courage, and perseverance!
