Principals Report

Welcome back to another edition of our school newsletter. First, I’d like to extend my best wishes to all our students currently completing their HSC trials.

Last week, we held our Education Week assembly and celebrated the opening of our Performing Arts Centre. It was wonderful to see our students performing in this incredible new space. We would like to once again thank everyone who contributed to creating a place where we can showcase our talented students. Congratulations to all the students who received awards on the day. As part of our Education Week celebrations, we also hosted our annual CAPA (Creative and Performing Arts) Night. This event gave our Year 12 CAPA students the opportunity to showcase their hard work, and it was heartening to see so many families and friends come out to support our creative Year 12 students.

This week, we were delighted to host Leanne Piggott and the Wavell State High School band, who gave a fantastic performance at our school. Their senior Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Big Band, comprised of 37 students aged 13 to 17, were on tour in Sydney. We were fortunate to have them visit and treat us to their wonderful music.

A friendly reminder to our families: if you need any financial assistance for extracurricular activities, such as excursions, books/school supplies, or uniforms, we are here to help. Please contact the office at 6732 1322. All inquiries are handled professionally and confidentially.

We also have several new staff members joining us. Keep an eye out for more information in our next newsletter.
