Celebrating 100 Days of Foundation

Since our last newsletter we celebrating the 100th day of school for our Foundation students, which is a joyful milestone that brings a special kind of excitement to the classroom. For Foundation students, it marks not just the passage of time but their incredible growth and achievements in just a few months. Their celebration was a vibrant, cheerful acknowledgment of their hard work and progress. Activities like counting to 100, crafting with 100 items, and exploring fun themes related to the number 100 turned the day into an engaging, educational festival. It was a day filled with laughter, pride, and a sense of accomplishment, where students can reflect on their learning journey and look forward to the adventures ahead. The 100th day serves as a heartwarming reminder of how far they’ve come and the exciting potential of the days still to come.

Celebrating Principal Day:

I was truly touched by the wonderful celebration of Principal’s Day. A heartfelt thank you to our incredible staff and amazing students for making the day so memorable. Their thoughtful Facebook post and the beautiful book, crafted with contributions from each of the students, truly warmed my heart. It’s a treasure I will cherish, filled with the unique voices and creativity of our school community. Everyones kindness and effort reflect the spirit of collaboration and support what makes our school such a special place. I am deeply grateful for each of you and for the joy we continue to create together.

St Pat's Mini Olympics:

The St Pat's Mini Olympics were an absolute triumph, brimming with energy, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship. From the colourful opening ceremonies to the exciting array of events, every moment was a testament to the spirit of camaraderie and fun that defines our community. Students of all ages showcased their talents and teamwork, turning each competition into a celebration. The vibrant atmosphere was enhanced by cheers and laughter, creating a memorable day filled with positive energy and shared joy. The Mini Olympics not only highlighted the sporting abilities of our students but also fostered a sense of unity and school pride, making it a truly outstanding event for everyone involved.

A big thank you to Ms Wooden for all of her hard work organising this special event.

Maths Olympiad:

Participating in the Maths Olympiad during every break for the past week was a fantastic opportunity for our kids to immerse themselves in the excitement of problem-solving and mathematical challenges. The daily engagement with intriguing puzzles and competitive exercises fostered a love for mathematics and encouraged critical thinking in a fun, relaxed setting. It allowed students to stretch their minds and build their confidence while interacting with peers, enhancing both their skills and enthusiasm for the subject. This continuous exposure not only made math a dynamic and enjoyable part of their day but also highlighted their dedication and passion for learning. The experience was a testament to their commitment and a wonderful way to celebrate their achievements and growth in mathematics.

A big thank you to Miss Bennett for all of her hard work organising this special opportunity.

Partnership with St Augustine's:

The Grade 4 students are thrilled to embark on an exciting mentor partnership with Year 9 students from St Augustine's College Kyabram, a collaboration that promises to be both enriching and inspiring. This unique opportunity allows the younger students to benefit from the guidance and experiences of their older peers, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas and knowledge. The mentorship not only provides Grade 4 students with valuable insights and support in their academic pursuits but also helps them build confidence and a sense of connection within the broader community. For the Year 9 students, it’s a chance to develop leadership and mentoring skills while making a meaningful impact on their younger counterparts. This partnership is set to create lasting bonds and encourage a culture of mutual learning and respect, making it an exciting and valuable experience for all involved.

Trivia Night:

A heartfelt thank you to all the parents who attended our Parish Trivia Night—what a fabulous evening it was! Your enthusiasm and participation made the event truly memorable, filled with laughter and friendly competition. We were thrilled to see everyone come together for such a fun and engaging night. A special shoutout to the staff table for managing to secure a spot higher up the leaderboard than the parents, but more importantly, the real victory was the sense of community and camaraderie we shared. Your support and involvement are deeply appreciated, and we look forward to many more enjoyable events together. Thank you once again for making the night so special!

My Principal Appraisal

As a part of the contract of Employment, each Principal of a Catholic school in the Diocese of Sandhurst must undertake an appraisal.

The purpose of an appraisal is to provide the Principal with feedback about their leadership of the school.  An appraisal also seeks to improve the professional practice of the Principal through feedback about the leadership of specific areas of school life. At the end of the appraisal process, the Principal will receive a detailed report about the information gathered from the process and this will support them in shaping their professional goals  and practice for the future.

To assist in this process you will receive an email in the next week asking you to participate in a short survey. The raw data results of the survey are confidential and will be used by the Principal Appraisal Panel in conjunction with other datasets gathered. Some parents will be invited to attend an interview with a panel member.
