What's making news this fortnight
The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey is now open, and has been extended until Friday 20 September.
Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.
Please see further in the newsletter for full details.

On Friday morning we held our Father's Day breakfast in our Junior and Senior courtyards.
Pancakes were on the menu as we welcomed special persons through the gate.
Earlier in the week, our Senior School students ran a Father's Day gift stall where students could purchase a gift for their special person.
We hope everyone had a great day on Sunday with their loved ones.
Friday 24th August was our Book Week Dress Up Day!
Students and staff came dressed as their favourite book characters to celebrate this year's theme 'Reading is Magic'!
The Greater Shepparton Lighthouse Project has also donated a large number of books for students to take home free of charge. It has been brilliant to read so much positive feedback from parents & carers on this imitative.

On Friday we hosted another successful School Fun Run, this year raising more than $4,000 for Muscular Dystrophy Australia.
Junior and Senior School students participated enthusiastically, running laps around the track in their favourite superhero costumes.
A highlight was "Slime Time," where staff Matt, Jesse, Andrew & Kayla were slimed to the delight of students as a reward for reaching each $1,000 fundraising milestone.
Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this great cause! A special mention also to our Physical Education teacher, Matt Gill, for his efforts in organising another successful whole school event.
The 2024 Mooroopna All Abilities Football Netball Carnival will take place at theMooroopna Football Netball Club Sports ComplexonWednesday 4th September 2024 (Week 8) from 9:30am – 2:00pm. Senior Years students will be heading across to compete with other specialist schools and local disability support organisations.
The Shepparton Echo Basketball Cup, which was scheduled to be held next Friday, has now been postponed until next Term.
We are really excited to announce that the Department of Education has selected Verney Road School as one of the 5 new schools where a High Intensity Outside of School Hours Case (OSHC) service will operate in 2025.
More details to follow as plans for the program are
put in place.
We have a growing collection of jewellery, hats, drink bottles and clothing that have been located round the school and handed into the Front Office.
