Principal's Message

PRINCIPAL’S REPORT
This afternoon we welcomed over hundred dads, grandparents or special people into our school to celebrate Father’s Day this weekend. This was a wonderful opportunity for the fathers and father figures in our community to come together and to spend valuable time with their child, creating a terrific memory through shared experiences. Evidence supports that having parents who are connected and interested in their child’s learning contributes to strong learning and wellbeing outcomes. Thankyou to all those who were able to make time to be here today.
Next week students from our Year 4s and our Year 6s will be heading to HILAC to compete in the Hoop Time Competition. We will have four teams competing from both year levels. This is always an event that is highly anticipated by our students and we thank the parents who have given up their time to coach or score to help make the day happen.
Next week we will also be conducting the Annual Legacy Badge Appeal. Each year the school sells badges to support Legacy in raising funds for the partners and the children of those who gave their lives or their health for our country. If you would like your child to purchase an item, please send along money next week. Badges and pens are available and items are priced from $2 to $10 and can be purchased from the office.
As we head into the last few weeks of the term our other main upcoming event is Gray Streets Got Talent. We look forward to our students sharing their various talents at this upcoming showcase. More information will be sent home via XUNO next week.
