Wednesday Sport
Our secondary students have been fortunate to have local NRL coach, Emma, visit the school every Wednesday to coach our students the different skills of rugby league. Students have been engaged with various activities and games involving passing and kicking.
Our primary students have also had the opportunity to have a weekly visit from Belinda, who has been showing different Zumba actions to get our students up and moving.
Primary students have also been visiting Pollets Martial Arts Centre where their instructors have been assisting our students with different moves in a safe environment using different equipment.
Term 4 Sport
Secondary sport choices for Term 4 will be sent via the Parent Portal shortly. A range of sports are on offer once again including new sports in AFL and pickleball. Being the warmer months, sailing at Lake Canobolas and swimming at the Aquatic Centre will be available. Pickleball will be conducted at Moulder Park and is a modified version of tennis with a smaller court, bigger ball and smaller net.
Primary students will also have the opportunity to select their sport in Term 4, with swimming and touch football on offer. This will also be sent via the Parent Portal.
Preferences need to be returned before Tuesday 10th September and if nothing is received then staff will allocate sports based on availability. First preferences will try to be accommodated but cannot be guaranteed due to limited spots, student needs and safety and staffing required.
