Book Week
Book Week was a magical experience last week, with the theme "Reading is Magic" bringing stories to life! Our students enjoyed visiting the Scholastic Book Fair in the Library, where they discovered new books and shared their love of reading.
The highlight of the week was undoubtedly our Book Week Parade on Friday. The sun was shining, and the oval was filled with favourite book characters brought to life by our students' creative costumes. Every class had some amazing outfits, and Rev. Anne had a tricky time awarding 'Best Dressed' in each class. A big thank you to all the families who came out to support the parade and helped make the day so special!
SASS Recognition Week
This week, we're proud to honor our amazing SAS Staff under the theme: "We Just Do It!" With 47 dedicated team members—including administration, SLSOs, general and farm assistants, and specialist support staff—we extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you. Your hard work does not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for all you do!
We kicked off the celebrations on Monday when our teaching staff took over the playground roster, giving our incredible SAS Staff some well-deserved time to relax together over a hot drink in the staffroom. As a special surprise, they were greeted with personalised scrolls reminding them just how wonderful they are. And of course, no break is complete without some sweet treats, including the classic 'Kit-Kat' to help them truly "have a break."
On Tuesday, Ms Pritchard and Mrs Hudson took charge of the office, allowing the entire Admin Team and GAs to enjoy a morning tea together. The Barista Team delivered coffee, and they all sat outside in the beautiful sunshine.
Thank you, SAS Staff, for everything you do!

Secretary of the Department of Education visit
Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Murat Dizdar, the Secretary of the Department of Education, to our school. Our school leaders, Dylan, Stella, Blake, and Zane, greeted him warmly before accompanying him to the café, where he watched the Barista Team in action. Blake impressed him by preparing an exceptional cappuccino, just to his liking!
Murat then engaged with our P&C representatives and visited Skills House, where he tried his hand at hand-strengthening exercises and even learned how to make a bed! Class 7 proudly informed him about our school recycling program before we headed to Class 2, where he experienced explicit teaching in action. During his visit, Murat was complimented on his "nice suit" and was even invited to attend our Graduation!
The visit continued at the Campus, where Murat met with Mary Croaker, AECG President, and the Tidda Tradies, supported by Verto. We were honored to receive a beautifully crafted bench made by the Tidda Tradies, and Sandon Gibbs-O'Neill shared the story of the stunning mural he painted for our school.
We are incredibly grateful to Murat for taking the time to visit us and for engaging so positively with our school community. His visit was a memorable experience for everyone involved.
