Dear Families,

This week’s wild, windy weather has certainly tested our patience, but our students have been using strategies to smoothly transition from the blustery outdoors to a calm classroom environment. Let’s hope for a more settled week ahead—we could all use a break from the wind.

We’ve noticed a number of students coming to school out of uniform lately. Please remember that our school has a uniform policy that all families are expected to follow. Currently, some students are wearing hooded jumpers and windcheaters, which are not permitted as they pose safety risks during playtime. Additionally, uniforms should be free of logos. The acceptable uniform consists of plain black pants, shorts, or skorts, and plain red tops or t-shirts. Shorts, skirts, and pants with stripes are not allowed.

This week, our Year 2 and Year 5/6 students have written some outstanding stories inspired by the Book Week read-aloud, “Hope is the Thing.” We encourage you to read their impressive work; we have some very talented writers among us.

Next week is Planning Week, during which your children will spend a full day with specialist teachers as Term 4 planning takes place. Please prepare your children for an exciting day with their specialist teachers, the timetable is:

  • Monday: Prep Planning
  • Tuesday: Year 3/4
  • Wednesday: Year 2
  • Thursday: Year 1
  • Friday: Year 5/6

A big thank you to the SCA for organising our Fathers/ Special Person Day stall. Our children love the chance to shop for their loved ones.

Wishing all the dads and father figures a very happy Father’s Day on Sunday. I hope you enjoy a special day with your loved ones. For those who are remembering someone, may you find comfort in cherished memories and celebrate your special person in your own way.
