Year Six
Dear Year Six Families,
We are nearing the end of the term and inching ever closer to our Year Six Exhibition. The students have been hard at work and have been creating and finalising their action pieces. There is an excited buzz throughout the classrooms as the students begin to practice their presentations.
Exhibition
The Year Six Exhibition is an important and exciting event where our students showcase their learning, creativity, and the actions they have taken to address significant issues. Over the past weeks, our Year Six students have been working diligently to finalise their action plans, and it is shaping up to be the best exhibition yet!
The students have been practicing their presentations with great enthusiasm, fine-tuning their delivery, and preparing to share their projects with the Saltwater community. They are eagerly looking forward to next week, when they will have the opportunity to present their hard work and innovative ideas to their families, friends, and community members.
This exhibition is a celebration of their learning journey, and we cannot wait to see how it all comes together next week.
Maths
Our Year Six students have recently completed their post-assessment for fractions and decimals, and we are thrilled to see the remarkable progress they have made. Throughout this unit, the students have demonstrated exceptional dedication, working hard to understand and apply complex mathematical concepts. They have continually challenged themselves to extend their knowledge and skills, and their growth is evident in the outstanding results they have achieved.
We are incredibly proud of their efforts and commitment to learning, and it is wonderful to see their hard work paying off in such meaningful ways.
How the World Works
The Year Six teachers recently invited students into a planning meeting to discuss the next unit of inquiry, creating a unique opportunity for collaboration.
During the meeting, the students provided valuable feedback and shared their ideas on what they wanted to learn and achieve throughout the unit. This open dialogue not only empowered the students by giving them a voice in their own learning but also inspired the teachers to design a fun and engaging final unit to end their Year Six journey on a high note.
The collaborative approach has set the stage for a memorable and meaningful conclusion to their year.
