Good Afternoon Parents/Carers,
Book Week 2024
This week we are celebrating Book Week from Monday, 19th August through to Friday, 23rd August. This year's theme is "Reading Is Magic". This Thursday, 22nd August at 2:00pm, we invite our students to dress up as their favourite character and parade around the middle terrace with their classmates. A $10 book voucher is on offer for the best dressed costume in each year group. We welcome all of our school community to come and see the fabulous array of costumes.
Book Fair 2024
To coincide with Book Week 2024, our Library will be hosting a Book Fair with the theme of "Garden - Catch the reading bug". We invite you to come and purchase books for your children and see our fantastic garden display. Thank you to Ms Schumann for organising the fair. It takes quite a bit of organisation to make this happen and we appreciate your efforts. Times for purchasing books can be found on our calendar.
Small Schools Soccer Knockout
Our Soccer Team will be travelling to Glen Innes tomorrow to compete in the Small Schools Soccer Knockout against Ulmarra Public School. A reminder that the bus will be departing school at 7:15am so we ask that all students arrive in plenty of time to catch the bus. It will return at 4:00pm. Good luck to all of our students who will be participating in this event.
K-4 Library Visit
Our K-4 students have attended Werris Creek Library to participate in storytime and activities to celebrate Book Week. All of our students have had a fantastic afternoon and were very well behaved.
Father's Day Breakfast and Stall
We will be holding our annual Father's Day Breakfast on Friday, 30th August between 7:30am and 8:45am. We look forward to seeing all of our Dads, Grandads or Male Caregivers who play an important role in our students lives. Our P&C will also be holding a Father's Day Stall on the same day with some fantastic gifts to purchase. Notes for both the Father's Day Breakfast and Stall will be sent home today, and we ask if you could return them ASAP for catering purposes.
