 Reading Challenge - Last Day

The Reading Challenge concludes tomorrow (Friday 6th September). After this date no further books can be added.

All children who have completed the Reading Challenge are to be congratulated. More information about our successful challengers will follow in a later newsletter once all our data has been checked and verified. 

Term 3 in the Library

This term in a lead up to our Book Day each level studied one of the shortlisted books from the Children's Book Council. After discussing the book students created a display for the library based on the book they studied. 

Below are examples of their work which is on display in the library. 

• Preps - created a stick puppet based on one of the animals in the book 'One Little Duck' by Katrina Germein
• 1/2s - used their imagination to create their magical horse from the book 'If I was a Horse' by Sophie Blackall.
• 3/4s - thoroughly enjoyed the book 'That Bird Has Arms' by Kate & Jol Temple. Students created their own bird with arms.
• Preps to Year 6. On Book Day each student created their artwork on a circle wedge. This was based on the book 'The Concrete Garden' by Bob Graham. Each wedge formed part of a circle and became a collaborative collection of circles.
