Year 3-6 Mini Olympics is being held on Wednesday

Students can wear the colours of their country or their sports uniform.

Weekly Overview:

As another week races by, our students have been continually challenged by not only the weather but also the depth of knowledge and understanding of concepts being taught. It is pleasing to see our classrooms equipped with multipurpose equipment and objects to help assist in our learning, our classroom walls decorated with Learning Intentions and Success Criteria (ways to help students focus on the task at hand and measure their success), be engaged in in-depth discussions (making learning relevant and personal) and finally, ways that students enjoy the company of one another.

Our focus for the next few weeks is:

To use kind and supportive words with manners when communicating with others (Peers/staff/visitors).

We are trying to emphasise the ability to not only communicate but also ask questions that show care and a sense of value for others.

We have observed that students find great difficulty in using eye contact and general questions about someones day. We wish to build upon getting to know others and their feelings towards their day or simply their opinion on a matter without feeling judged.
