Looking back...

It was a privilege to attend the local Vietnam Veterans Memorial Service on Sunday afternoon with our Secondary SRC. The students represented our school and their families beautifully. I received several compliments after the service about our students. Well done!

We were informed after last week's newsletter that Fletcher Andrews in Year 6 broke the 1500m record at the recent Diocesan Athletics Carnival. Well done Fletch! Fletch is representing at PSSA rugby this week. Good luck!

Book Week Celebrations

This week is lots of fun in celebration of books and reading. Reading is crucial in education and helps us in everyday life. Reading can also open the world to us without even leaving our homes. The process of learning to read and then reading to learn is a key focus at HTS. Today we celebrate the love of books and the impact they can have on our lives. Always encourage your child/children to read and to read often. To choose books that they love and to challenge them to try new things if they are keen. Reading can involve books, magazines ebooks, audio books and online content. Thank you for putting effort into today's dress up parade. It is always lots of fun.

Looking forward...

Community Forum for Years 11 and 12

Next Tuesday, 27 August we are holding our first information sessions regarding HTS moving to Year 11 and 12. The community forum is an opportunity for us to fill you in on the steps we are taking to move this project forward as well as the opportunity for you to put forward questions and ideas for future planning. There will be two sessions for families in the hall.

2:30pm-3:20pm

5:30pm-6:20pm

A flyer will go home this week as a reminder!

Father's Day Breakfast

We would love our dads and pops to come to have a bacon/sausage and egg roll next Friday 30 August to celebrate Father's Day.  A flyer with an RSVP will be sent home this week to be returned by Tuesday 27 to help with catering. It is a great morning for our dads and our students.

The P and F will be running the Father's Day Stall on Friday 30 August in the hall.

Our Annual School Survey is coming

We really value your feedback and would love you to fill out the survey. The annual satisfaction survey of parents, students and staff will be conducted on behalf of all Catholic schools in the Diocese over the coming weeks. The survey has been updated and there are less questions to respond to.  The surveys are designed to gather feedback from parents, staff and students about our school and will be used to inform school improvement. Responses are confidential, and individuals can not be identified. The surveys will be launched via email on Monday, 26 August 2024 using the email addresses supplied to the school. If you do not receive an email with a link to the survey, you can access and complete the survey via the following link. https://www.research.net/r/HolyTrinityInverellPARENT2024  The survey will close on Wednesday, 4 September 2024.
