Trades Fit Expo

The Women's Trade Fit Expo, held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre on 9th May, had a lot to offer for young girls and non-binary students. There were many informative stalls and exhibitors to guide students. Many of the exhibitors offered activities in plumbing, building and construction, electrical engineering, aviation, transport, etc.

These activities gave students a chance to discover new skills and have a taste of what it would be like to work in these industries. The exhibitors handed out flyers and engaged in conversations about what some students may like to pursue.

During the expo, there were opportunities to listen to guest speakers, panel discussions, and information sessions, allowing students to hear industry professionals sharing their experiences, challenges, and successes.

Many students found this expo helpful and fun as it provided them with a wide range of options and insights into traditionally male-dominated industries.

Overall, the Women's Trade Fit Expo was a valuable and enjoyable experience for many students.
