Our ceramic club continues to work quietly away to create an art piece for the whole school to enjoy.

Students stepped up their study efforts during the exam period, while others escaped to the library to read and relax to cosy music vibes. Increasingly, our chess players vie for the giant chess set daily.

I Fight, you Fight

By:Alex Noble

The inspiring story of a young man whose wisdom and strength can teach us all how to live life to the fullest, no matter what it throws at us.

Sixteen-year-old Alex Noble was a high school rugby star with a promising sporting career ahead of him when an on-field injury left him fighting for his life in the ICU. Following a four-day coma and a diagnosis of C4 quadriplegia, Alex’s first words to his brother Zac were, ‘If I fight, you fight.’

From learning to breathe and move again to travelling the world, starting his own business, and even going skydiving, Alex’s story is about the power of mastering your own mind, finding happiness and taking risks to achieve your goals – no matter how out of reach they may seem.

I Fight, You Fight is so much more than an inspiring memoir – it’s a philosophy for finding happiness and reaching your true potential.

What's murder between friends

By Meg Gatland-Veness

'I think it was one of us,' Walter says - 'We had the perfect opportunity. Everyone's thinking it, I'm just saying it.'

The last thing Hallie and her drama classmates expect to find on a high school scavenger hunt is a dead body. In a town with a population of about thirty-six, no one has experience with murder investigations, but now everyone's asking who killed Ms Lovelace.

The drama kids thought they were the only people nerdy enough to be at school on a Sunday. When they learn that Adam Tolentino, football star, drama-club nemesis and the cutest boy in school, was there too, Hallie is given the task of finding out what he knows but she soon learns there's more to Adam than meets the eye.

Father of the lost boys

By Yuot A Alaak

The inspiring true story of a teacher and community leader who led twenty thousand Lost Boys to safety during the Second Sudanese Civil War.

During the Second Sudanese Civil War, thousands of South Sudanese boys were displaced or orphaned. In 1989, teacher and community leader Mecak Ajang Alaak led the Lost Boys on a four-year journey from Ethiopia to Kenya to protect them from becoming child soldiers. This is the account of that extraordinary true story as told by his son, Yuot, who walked beside him every step of the way. It is an inspiring tale about a man who never ceased to believe that the pen is mightier than the gun.

Liar’s test

By Ambelin Kwaymullina

A gripping YA fantasy novel featuring a deadly contest for the crown, a heroine determined to right the wrongs done to her people, and a love story that could change everything.

Seven will come. Two will die. Two will sleep. Two will serve. One will rule.

I didn't want to rule the Risen. Wreak a little havoc upon them, though? That was something else entirely.

Bell Silverleaf is a liar.

It's how she's survived. It's how all Treesingers have survived since they were invaded by the Risen and their fickle gods. But now Bell is in the Queen's Test - she's one of seven girls competing in deadly challenges to determine who will rule for the next twenty-five years. If Bell wins, she'll have the power to help her people and take revenge on the Risen. But first she has to make it through the challenges alive.

She's up against the gods themselves.

Liar's Test is a fast-paced fantasy novel with an unforgettable heroine inspired by the strength and power of Aboriginal women.

The Bad ones

By Melissa Albert

House of Hollow meets A Good Girl's Guide to Murder - a YA supernatural thriller about four disappearances in a town haunted by a dark magical history - and one girl's search for the truth.

A GAME GONE WRONG. A MISSING FRIEND. A TOWN OF BURIED SECRETS . . .

Goddess, Goddess, count to five. In the morning, who's alive?

One town. One night. Four people gone. Nora's best friend, Becca, is one of the lost. As Nora tries to piece together the truth, she uncovers dark events in her high school's history and a string of coded messages Becca has left for her. These clues point to another missing girl thirty years previously and a sinister urban legend- a goddess figure, who played an eerie role in Nora and Becca's own childhood games . . .

As Nora struggles to unravel the mystery, it's clear there are dark forces that will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried deep.
