Important Information

Curriculum Day - next Friday 7th June 

Students will not be required at school on Friday 7th June as this will be a whole school common professional practice day (Our Patch will be running a full day program).

Please also note that the following Monday 10th June is the King's Birthday Public Holiday and the school will be closed on this day. 

We look forward to welcoming students back to school on Tuesday 11th June.  

Exciting Works... 

You may have noticed that the gazebo structure  next to the playground has been cordoned off this week. We have been having the structure repainted and this will be due to be completed over the weekend. This structure was recently reposted by Schofield Carpentry & Construction, thanks Brad and team! 

In addition to this, we have another exciting project happening in this space! We anticipate that this project will be completed next Friday (on the curriculum day) and be ready for students to enjoy from the following Tuesday (after the King's Birthday public holiday). This exciting project has been made possible from Fundraising efforts undertaken in 2023. 

External Student Achievements / Awards

We would love to know about any exciting achievement, awards, certificates etc that your child/ren may have received outside of school.  This could be many things from winning a spelling bee to winning a running race!  We would love you to share them with us! Please email newtown.ps@education with details and any photos that you would be happy to share.

Sibling Enrolments for 2025, Now Open

It's that time of year again!  If you have a sibling that will be commencing Prep next year, please pop into the office to collect an enrolment pack.

Signing Students In at the Office

We know it is tricky sometimes, but can we please ask that students are signed in by a parent/guardian if coming in late to the school, at the office before going to class.

Interschool Snow Sports

Newtown Primary School is now registered for students to compete in the Victorian Interschool Snow Sports competition, held at Mount Buller 19-25 August 2024. If your child is a skier or snowboarder and keen to represent Newtown Primary School in this competition, please contact Jenni Bauquier on 0419231807 or jbauquier@gmail.com for more information. Entries open 11 June 2024 and close on 22 July 2024.
