Captains' Netball Game with Mentone Girls Grammar 

On Friday 17 May, St Bede’s College Captains played a hard-fought game of netball against Mentone Girls Grammar Year 12 Netballers. 

Ahead of this annual event, we brushed up on the rules prior to the game, and showed up prepared for an epic battle. Coach Frizza and Assistant Coach Jones coordinated interchanges and imparted words of wisdom. 

Whilst the girls looked and played like professionals, we somehow managed to take the lead for most of the game, with a fantastic first half effort to have a massive margin of 9-3 up at half time. 

The girls then had a monumental comeback in the second half, to level the scores with 40 seconds remaining. With the clock ticking, the ball made its way to our attacking third, and St Bede’s scored the winning goal.

The trophy will spend the next 12 months at St Bede’s College, ready for the 2025 clash!
