Welcome!

A message from the Principal
Start of Lent
Last week, it was heartening to see so many members of our community come together to celebrate Shrove Tuesday with pancakes. The following day, we gathered in the Knuldoorong for a meaningful Ash Wednesday liturgy led by Fr. Junray. During this intimate service, students received ashes, and Fr. Junray shared insights on the significance of Lent.
Some of our student leaders—Penny, Ella, Gracie, DJ, and Aryan—represented our school at the Caritas Launch in Pall Mall. They introduced themselves using Auslan finger-spelling and conveyed the 2025 theme, "Pilgrims of Hope," along with Caritas's focus for the year, "United Against Poverty." These leaders then on Friday shared these phrases with the St. Peter's community during assembly, presenting in Auslan. Well done and thank you to these leaders, we are proud of your efforts.
NAPLAN Testing
NAPLAN testing for our Year 3 and Year 5 students is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, 12th March. The assessments will take place during the morning sessions from Wednesday through Monday, 17th March. Catch-up sessions will be available for students who are absent on test days. We wish all participating students the best.
Celebrating International Women's Day
On Tuesday, 11th March, our school community came together to celebrate International Women's Day. This year's theme, "For ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment," served as a reminder of our commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all.
We were delighted to host a staff morning tea in honour of the incredible women who contribute so much to our school. The event provided an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of women within our community and beyond, reinforcing the importance of equality and empowerment in our daily lives.
International Women's Day not only celebrates the accomplishments of women but also serves as a call to action for gender equality. As a school, we remain committed to promoting an environment where every individual is valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
