NAPLAN Assessments – Well Done to Our Year 3 and 5 Students!

This week and last, our Year 3 and Year 5 students participated in the NAPLAN assessments, which help to provide valuable insights into their learning progress in literacy and numeracy. These assessments are just one way we track student development and identify areas where we can best support their learning.

We are incredibly proud of all our students for their effort, focus and perseverance throughout the tests. Every student should be commended for their dedication and positive attitude.  Well done, everyone!  Thank you to Miss Tovey, Mrs LeHunt, Mrs Mason, Mrs Vozzo, Miss Romios, Mrs Botwood, Mr Buttigieg and Mrs Abiad for supporting our students so well.

Prayers in Pyjamas – A Wonderful Evening!

Last Wednesday evening, it was wonderful to see so many of our junior families come together for Prayers in Pyjamas. It was a joyful and faith-filled night where we learned more about Jesus, friendship, and kindness. Through singing, listening, creating and prayer, we deepened our connection with God and one another.

A heartfelt thank you to Father Jerome, Mrs. Borgese, Miss Raffaele, Miss Jacquie and Mrs Ferrari for preparing and leading our sessions. It It was wonderful to see many families at the Junior School Mass on Sunday, where we sincerely thank our student and parent readers and offertory bearers for their wonderful leadership and participation.

Harmony Week and Harmony  Day - Friday 21 March

Harmony Day is fast approaching and tomorrow, we will celebrate Australia as a multicultural and inclusive nation. Students are invited to wear their school uniform, but can incorporate a touch of the colour orange where possible. Orange represents social communication, meaningful conversations, and the encouragement of mutual respect.

The message of Harmony Week 2025 is Everyone Belongs—promoting inclusiveness and respect for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background, united by shared values.

Recent census data shows that:

✔ Nearly half of Australians were born overseas or have at least one parent who was.

✔ We identify with over 300 ancestries.

✔ Since 1945, more than 7.5 million people have migrated to Australia.

✔ 85% of Australians agree that multiculturalism benefits our country.
