Principal's News

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

St Louis de Montfort  is Celebrating 60 years

Good Morning Families,

We have had a great week 6 at St Louis this week with our Ash Wednesday Mass and Liturgy.  Thank you to Mrs Douglas for organising and our students who particiapted so respectfully.  Ash Wednesday marks the start of lent a time for us to pray and build a stronger relationship with God.

We are asking all of our students to walk their bikes from the bike shed to the end bike path before they hop on their bike and make thier journey home.  This is to ensure the safety all all around our very busy home time rush.  We also have some students arriving at school late as they are taking the opportunity before school to play on the 'jumps' in the wetlands.  Could parents please remind students to come straight to school and not get side tracked or stray off the bike track path so we can make sure everyone is safe and arriving at school on time.

We have sent out a call for classroom reps for each class and still have a large number of classes without them.   1CA, 1PW, 2KO, 3DJ, 3CR, 4GM, 4SW, 5RC, 5MP, 6GL, 6CG & 6KB are all looking for parent reps. Classroom Reps main role is to keep communication with their classroom group and inform of any social gathering taking place.  They also organise teacher gifts and promote a sense of connectedness within their classroom parent community. They do not have to attend any PFA meetings.  If you feel like you could help out please send me an email  tstefanec@stlouisaspendale.com.

Our PFA will be running our Easter Raffle again this year and we will be asking families to sell 10 x $1 Raffle tickets and also donate 1 Easter egg per family.  Communication around this will go out next week.  Our PFA last year did some amazing fundraising and check out the wellbeing page to see where some of that has contributed to our school and students.  We have lots of great events on the PFA calendar this year including  a parent social night, Fathers and Mothers Day breakfast, The Colour Run and much more.

From all of the staff at St Louis have an amazing long weekend and we look forward to seeing all of our students back on Wednesday 12 March.
