Growing into Who You’re Meant to Be

Growth isn’t just about getting taller or moving up a year level—it’s about becoming the person God has called us to be. Growth can be exciting, but it can also be uncomfortable. Sometimes, it means stepping out of your comfort zone, facing challenges, or learning from mistakes. This happens every day in our classrooms - being challenged and stretched so that we can grow.

The Bible reminds us in Jeremiah 17:7-8:

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.”

Just like a tree grows strong by staying connected to water, we grow when we stay rooted in God. Whether you’re developing your faith, friendships, or skills, trust that God is shaping you for a purpose. Keep going, stay planted in Him, and watch how He helps you flourish!

Upcoming Three-Way Conference

Dates and times are listed below and bookings will open next week for families to make appointments with teachers. Look out for an email with your login details that will come from 'Schoolbox Help'. Instructions on how to make bookings will be in the email. Please do not make bookings if you are unable to attend the meeting. We have had many ‘no-shows’ to appointments in the past, and this disadvantages others who have not been able to schedule a booking. You can cancel a booking in the system two days out, so please help others and ensure you attend your appointment or cancel well in advance.

Authentic Learning Grows College Values

Last week, four Year 11 Product Design & Technology students from the Tarneit Campus paid a visit to Mambourin Campus as part of the research stage of their design project. The students presented their idea of constructing a “Good News” cross to Head of Campus, Mrs Nelson. The boys are keen to share the College Values and identity with Mambourin Campus. We are very excited about the ideas being presented by the students and look forward to seeing their design ideas become a reality.

Supporting Your Child Through NAPLAN - Important Dates and Tips

Official test dates are 12-17 March, with catch-up sessions from 18-20 March.

To help reduce stress and anxiety, here are some tips to support your child:

  • Encourage a Calm Mindset: Remind them that NAPLAN is just a snapshot of their learning, not a reflection of their future success.
  • Arrive on Time: Ensure your child arrives on time each day to avoid feeling rushed or stressed.

Additional Tips to Prepare:

  • Get Enough Sleep: Ensure your child rests well to stay focused and perform well.
  • Eat a Balanced Diet: Nutritious meals support both brain and body, especially on test days.
  • Stay Hydrated: Bring a water bottle to stay focused throughout the day.
  • Reassure Your Child: Remind them that NAPLAN is just one way to assess learning and does not define their future.

By working together and keeping the environment supportive, we can help our children approach NAPLAN with confidence and calmness.

Thank you for your continued support.
