Maroondah Youth Awards

We are so proud to share that Oscar, one of our outstanding Year 5 students, was recognised at the Maroondah Youth Awards last night.

This special event celebrates young people across Maroondah for their strengths, resilience, and achievements. Hosted at the Karralyka Centre, Oscar received an award which was presented by the Mayor & Councillors of Maroondah.

Oscar was nominated for his commitment to creating a respectful and inclusive school environment which was evidenced through his active participation in our Student Action Teams.

Oscar also led a project promoting respect among boys, showcasing his initiative and dedication. His willingness to devote personal time to run lunchtime activities for his classmates highlights his genuine concern for their well-being and development. He is also a valued member of the Junior School Council and showed true kindness and fairness by stepping aside to support a peer who was feeling upset about missing out.

We are so glad to see his contributions recognised at such a wonderful event.

Congratulations Oscar, you have made us all proud!

New Prep Uniform Dress for 2025

We are excited to announce a new uniform dress for our Prep students, launching in 2025.

The new dress features a brighter design that proudly represents the colours of our school.

Starting next year, all orders for school dresses will transition to the new design. However, families do not need to worry as the current uniforms can still be worn, as the change will be gradually phased in over several years.

For Prep students, the new dress and scrunchie will be compulsory, and the introduction of the $400.00 family bonus can help offset the cost for all our families. While the new dress will be available for all year levels at the uniform shop, it is optional for students beyond Prep.

We look forward to seeing our Prep students in 2025 in their new uniforms.

As we approach the end of the year, there’s so much to look forward to in the coming weeks. From the excitement of the Christmas concert to the announcement of our school leaders for next year, and, of course, farewelling  our graduating Year 6 students.

Our teachers are preparing classes for 2025 and finalising end of year reports, and the school is buzzing with activity.

Enjoy the weekend with your family and friends
