Wellbeing: Teamwork

Wellbeing Buzz

Over the past few weeks, junior students have been exploring the importance of teamwork—how it helps to solve challenges and boosts wellbeing. They’ve learned that teamwork combines different skills, perspectives, and strengths, making problem-solving more creative and efficient. Working together also helps by sharing the workload, offering support and overcoming obstacles.

The students also discovered how being part of a team can improve wellbeing by fostering a sense of belonging, providing emotional support, and encouraging positive social interactions. Through team movement challenges, they’ve put these lessons into action.

Here’s what some of our Year 1 & 2 students had to say:

Why is teamwork important when solving challenges?

Sanvitha – It helps you do it when you communicate

Ruhi – It makes everything 10x easier

Drish – If you were in danger, some people might work together to save you

Maddie – So we can help each other and give ideas

Angel – If your team needs help you can join them

Xavier – It's good because people have different ideas

Millie – Other people can think of things you can't think of

Buena – If you don’t synergise you might get it wrong

Mars – So you can think together and try to solve it

How does being in a team improve wellbeing?

Tanvika – Helping others makes you feel good

Zichen – You can help people when stuck and others can help you

Ella – Synergising makes you feel good

Joel – You can exercise when in a team which makes you feel good
