Year 12 Valedictory 2024

As VCAA Exams drew to a close, Wantirna College bid farewell, one last time, to the Class of 2024 with our annual Valedictory Dinner. On Wednesday 27 November, over 170 families of our Year 12 Cohort gathered at Crown Palladium to celebrate the hard work, achievements and growth of the graduating class.

Throughout the night, students, their families, and staff enjoyed a beautiful three-course meal and had the opportunity to have professional photos taken.  After the presentations of our special Awards, we opened the dance floor with our traditional parent/student dance and it was fantastic to see the all families participating.  Students wore graduation gowns to receive their Graduation Certificates and sashes. The performance from our live band, featuring Wantirna College’s very own Percussion teacher, Jack Bennett, was truly outstanding.

Valedictory is an opportunity for students to reflect on how far they have come over their 13 years of schooling. Students celebrated the relationships they have formed with both staff and their fellow classmates. It was also a moment for students to think back on all the challenges that they have overcome to get to where they are now.

One of the highlights from the evening was the special drum performance that opened the final dance set, which featured two of our graduating Year 12 students, Jeremy Coath and Lennix Rode-Bromanis. The performance was electrifying. Well done, Jeremy and Lennix!

To our graduating class of 2024:

It has been an honour to support this wonderful Year 12 cohort through your final year of schooling. We mentored you through successes and challenges. We know it has been a difficult year but the resilience, determination and grit you have shown has been admirable. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and we at Wantirna College are grateful that we have been part of that village. We wish you all the best for the future wherever life may take you. Congratulations to the Class of 2024!
