As Year 12s anxiously await their VCE results, this is a reminder that results will be available to students on Thursday 12 December at 7am.
Students applying for tertiary courses through VTAC will be able to change their preferences until Saturday 14 December at 4pm.
Appointments with Mrs Jessie Dennison & Mr Tim Knowles will be made available on Compass early next week, and students are encouraged to book and attend a session with us if assistance is needed in changing their preferences and finding a course that they are guaranteed entry. Students can message us via Teams or contact us via email.
We ask students to please keep on eye on Teams & emails to receive any communication from us, VTAC and their future tertiary providers.
The document attached provides contact information and details of events that the various institutions are holding over the Change of Preference period. Students are encouraged to reach out to their desired provider in the Change of Preference period if specific assistance is required.
Tue 17 Dec, 10am - 11am, Senior Centre
Year 12 students are invited back to Wantirna College for a celebration morning tea on Tuesday 17 December. During this time, students will have the opportunity to collect their VCE or VCE VM certificate, and will be asked to complete a short survey regarding their intended destination for 2025. We will conduct a short presentation to celebrate our Honour Roll and DUX for 2024, whilst students enjoy some morning tea on us. We hope to see many of our 2024 graduates in attendance!
Mon 26 - Fri 30 May 2025
During Explore over the past two weeks, our Year 9s have reflected upon their Morrisby profile results, whilst they start to consider their options for Work Experience in 2025.
All Year 10 students are expected to source their own Work Experience placement, which will be held Monday 26May to Friday 30 May. We ask students to start considering their options now and use the holidays to seek out a potential employer, as places can be quite competitive. Congratulations to Jamie Reid for securing an apprenticeship with Building Engineering, the builders of our new Maroop Centre. Jamie was onsite recently when our Principal showed the facilities to Jackson Taylor MP.
