Year Four - Spotlight on Learning
Dear Parents,
This week students participated in reading assessments looking at their fluency and comprehension skills. Students took these assessments well and showed their growth and progress from over the year.
Remembrance Day was celebrated by the Years 3 - 6 students on Monday. All communities presented a poppy wreath as part of the Prayer Liturgy. Students did an excellent job in showing respect and reverence for our fallen soldiers in all wars.
Our Learning Focus this week . . .
Religious Education focus: Students will participate in our Community Mass on Wednesday focusing on the scripture "I am the true Vine."
Mathematics focus: This week students will be comparing geometric properties of two and three dimensional shapes.
English focus: Students will begin exploring our new novel "The Iron Man" in which they will develop their knowledge on key vocabulary and summarising the text.
Social/ Emotional Learning & RRRR: Students will continue to work on "Help Seeking" strategies to give and seek help.
Auslan: Students will be learning about how to sign animals with wings, including kookaburra, duck, fly, mosquito and more.

Reminders
Term Four - ALL students must wear a school hat for recess and lunchtime.
Please ensure you complete the permission form on PAM for your child to be able to attend the Year 4 excursion to Scienceworks on the 26th of November. We are also seeking parent helpers who have a "Working with Children Check Card" to also attend. Please email jbishop@cranbourneeast.catholic.edu.au to secure your place.
