St Mary's Faith & Family

Congratulations to our children who celebrated their Confirmation on Sunday November 17th. We pray that Quinn, Akul, Sully, Adam, Charlotte, Sam and Isabelle will be blessed with the Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit in their lives.

We also pray for Albert who received the Sacrament of First Communion recently.

On Sunday December 1st we begin the season of Advent.

At the front of our school there are visual reminders of what this time of year means. The Advent wreath and Nativity scene remind us of God’s breaking into the human experience and all it entails. Its twists and turns, its joys and immense sorrows. Our God does not stay far off, nor distant like the ancient Greek idea of the gods of old. Rather, fearlessly, and lovingly God comes so close, becoming a helpless infant, and so the Hope and Light of the world.

Families are invited to donate non-perishable goods into our Christmas Appeal box at the front of the school. These donations will be giving to the local St Vincent de Paul store to be distributed to people in our local community needing a little support at this time.

I invite you to keep the following dates in mind as opportunities to participate in the faith life of our school and parish.
