3/4 L

Term 4, Week 9

Thank you for an INCREDIBLE 2025!

The 2025 school year is coming to a close. It seems like only yesterday that I began my journey here at SFX, and I could not have asked for a more wonderful first class to teach here at this wonderful school! There have been so many highlights, including our School Camp, excursions and incursions, Sports Days, Book Week, Sacraments, Learning Showcases and plenty of fabulous learning.

The students are about to embark on an exciting new journey, and I wish each and every one of them well as they head off into Year 4 and 5. You should all be so very proud of your growth this year...I know I am!

A big thank you to all our families for your constant support, the students for making the year so enjoyable, and the wonderful staff of SFX (particularly the amazing Miss. Becc and Miss. Vanessa) who also worked with 3/4L along the journey. Have a safe and happy holiday break!

Our Highlights:

I asked the students what some of their highlights from the year were, and here's what they said:

"My favourite thing was Camp Manyung, because I loved the big swing and the movie was fun too!" - Emily.

"When I first met this class and we did activities to get to know each other." - Aiden S.

"My favourite thing was the stop motion animation, because you got to interact with other people, take pictures and it was fun." - Marc.

"My highlight was probably Camp Manyung, even though I went home, because I got to play with my friends." - Nick.

"My favourite was the Time Capsules we made at the start of the year because I'm so excited to see how things have changed. It's like going back to when I first came into Grade 3." - Dwayne.

"My highlight of the year was going to camp because I liked the Big Swing." - Harley

"Probably Camp Manyung, because it was my very first camp and I was very excited. I enjoyed the Big Swing the most." - Ema

"Camp was my favourite thing because we got to do things like the Flying Fox and I liked going in the air. I thought I was afraid of heights, but then I realised it wasn't that scary!" - Leon.

"During 2024, I liked PARC swimming safety the best, because it let us have a turn on the slides." - Kevin.

"My favourite part of 2024 was making the door for the 'Learning is Magic' Book Week competition because it was very cool." - Macey.

"I enjoyed the Time Capsules and the stop motion animation work we did. I want to know how tall I was then and what I liked to do then. For stop motion animation, I really liked going to the ACMI museum." - Kaley.

"My favourite thing this year was Pancake Day, because we got to make pancakes and eat them." - Lana.

"Camp Manyung was my favourite thing because it was super fun. I got to play with my friends at night, talk to them and pretty much have a sleepover. I liked the activities and food too." - Harry

"I really like all of the craft we get to do." - Malakai.

"I think my highlight was camp, because I got to hang out with my friends and I like camping." - Liam.

"My favourite thing this year was doing limbo at Kinnect to Dance." - Braiden.

"My highlight of this year was doing robotics and doing a competition with Kevin. Even though we didn't come first, we still had a good time and came third." - Sam.

"I liked the activities in math, and I liked the excursions. PARC was my favourite excursion." - Matilda.
