Year 5/6 - Senior Unit

Literacy

Within the past fortnight senior students have continued their studies on Sir David Attenborough, writing scripts and completing storyboards based on their inquiry animal studies. Students then rehearsed and have begun filming their documentaries using Ipads, iMovies, and a greenscreen… Thanks Mr Sparrey!

Students are incorporating their knowledge of animal adaptations, extreme climates/environments, and literary techniques into their documentaries. As well as their creativity and humour!

Numeracy

Students have incorporated the holiday spirit into the numeracy, recreating holiday images on cartesian planes to show their knowledge of symmetry, shape rotation, reflection, and translation.

BIG DAY OUT!

This Wednesday, students in Year 6 attended their big day out in Bendigo. A fun time was had by all to celebrate the final days of their primary school journey! Enjoying Moana 2, the bowling alleys, and a lovely lunch in the park, most students represented themselves marvellously. Thank you to Mrs. Cashen for her particular efforts organising the logistics behind the day, it couldn't happen without you.

Final days of school…

We are all making the most of the last days of school, and appreciate all of our parent helpers of 2024, carers, helpers, supporters and hard working families for a fantastic year.
