Encountering Jesus

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we begin this new term, we are excited to continue our journey with the Encountering Jesus curriculum. Throughout this term students will be invited to engage with scripture and prayer to deepen their personal relationship with Jesus. Our Religious Education lessons will focus on helping students connect scripture to our contemporary world so that students develop an understanding of their faith as something that is active and transformative. Our lessons will help students to see scripture not as a distant story, but as a living message with personal meaning, guiding students through the situations and challenges they face. 

Students will explore the Worlds of the Text. This will involve a dive into the historical, cultural and spiritual backgrounds of the scripture, helping students to understand the context and purpose so that they can connect with the stories in new ways.

We hope to nurture each student's faith and curiosity. We look forward to a term filled with growth, reflection and discovery.
