SWPBS

The SWPBS reward of 30 minutes extra lunchtime for saving up tokens will be held on Friday the 8th of August.
The SWPBS fortnightly focus was: Care - Talk-it-Out (Friendology)
Why talking out their problems is important:
It helps them feel better – Talking about a problem can be a big relief. It takes the worry out of their head and makes it easier to handle.
It teaches problem-solving – When students talk it out, they learn how to work through challenges instead of ignoring or avoiding them.
It builds stronger relationships – Talking helps others understand how they feel, which can lead to better friendships and teamwork.
It prevents misunderstandings – When students stay silent, problems can grow. Talking it out can clear things up before they get worse.
Using language such as: “I feel . . . (sad/annoyed/disappointed) because . . .” INSTEAD of “you made me feel,” can help the other student take onboard the problem and try to rectify it, instead of prompting them to feel defensive.
Positive communication goes a long way 🙂
