Principal of the Day

Today, Ruby and Jacob from 5B stepped into a very important role—Principal for a Day! They did an outstanding job assisting Ms D with her daily responsibilities, including helping to run assembly, supporting students in classrooms, and checking in with peers out in the playground. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to experience school leadership in action—and they wore their roles with pride! Well done, Ruby and Jacob!

Awards for our French Students!

In Term 2, our Grade 5 and 6 students participated in a French video competition organised by the Association of French Teachers of Victoria (AFTV). As part of the project, students created videos in French exploring the theme of Belgian cuisine. We received many marvellous entries, showcasing creativity, teamwork and language skills.

We are thrilled to announce Maisie, Aaradhya, Kate, and Danna were awarded Second Prize in the competition! They visited Melbourne Grammar School on Monday, 28th July, to proudly collect their prize. Félicitations to all involved!

Australian Maths Competition

A big congratulation to all of the Year 3-6 students who participated in the Maths Competition. Everyone involved showed great problem solving skills and resilience!

Year 2 Nudel Kart Incursion

This week, Year 2 students took part in an exciting Nudel Kart incursion, where they worked collaboratively to plan, build, and problem-solve using open-ended materials. The hands-on experience encouraged creativity, teamwork, and design thinking. In a wonderful connection to our Greek reading unit, one group even constructed a large-scale model of Mount Olympus! It was fantastic to see students bring their learning to life through imaginative play and engineering

Green Team gets their Hands Dirty!

Last week, a group of our students took part in a tree-planting day along the Birrarung (Yarra River) at Yarra Glen. Together, they planted an incredible 300 native trees and shrubs, helping to restore habitat for local wildlife and care for this culturally and environmentally significant place. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect with nature, learn about caring for Country, and make a lasting positive impact on the local environment.

100 Days of Prep

Yesterday our Foundation students celebrated the special milestone of reaching 100 days of school. The day, organized by our fantastic Foundation staff, began with some slightly older Foundation students (think curlers, grey hair, and walking sticks!), a special pizza lunch, and a celebration of all things 100. Congratulations to our Foundation students!

Principals Day

Last Friday, we celebrated Principal’s Day, a special opportunity to recognise the incredible leadership, dedication and care shown by our our Principal, Suada Dzaferovic and Vice-Principal Julie Hall. Staff showed their appreciation with a surprise morning tea. We thank Suada and Julie for the big difference they make every day in the lives of our students, families and staff.
