Ms Hall AP Message

Meet the OT,
We had a successful OT session yesterday morning for parents and carers with our Occupational Therapist, Hayley. Hayley discussed the interventions and supports for staff and students that she
provides, and shared tips for assisting with handwriting. If you have questions for Hayley or any of our Allied Health staff, please reach out to them through the school email:

Policies Update
Our most recent policies that have been updated are:
Wellbeing Initiatives
Our Wellbeing Action Group and Wellbeing Student Leaders have been working hard this year on a number of wellbeing initiatives. The first are our TPS Regulation Strategies. Staff and students have carefully selected these three strategies that we are rolling out across this month. These regulation strategies can be utilised both in and out of the classroom to assist students to calm their nervous systems and approach learning and play in a calm manner.
Breathing is a component of all 3 of the selected strategies. Deep breathing helps by activating the parasympathetic nervous system, which counters the "fight-or-flight" response triggered by stress and anxiety.
This shift can lead to a reduction in heart rate, blood pressure, and stress hormone levels, promoting feelings of calm and well-being.
Here are the three - you can try them out at home too.
Nudel Incursion
The Year Two students participated in an incursion run by Nudel. They were able to utilise their collaboration and creative skills both in small groups and whole class activities. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and endorsed the Nudel Kart product which are deconstructable, mobile play carts that can be reconfigured in many different ways.
As a result we will be purchasing one of the carts to be used as a lunchtime club as well as by class teachers to promote STEM learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths). Monies donated by parents to the Wellbeing Fund will be utilised for this purchase and so I would like to extend a huge thank you on behalf of the students to those who have donated to this.
Sandpit Equipment
The sandpit equipment selected by our F-2 Wellbeing Leaders has proven to be very popular with lots of our lower primary students enjoying playing collaboratively with peers.
