Specialist Classes

ITALIAN

Students in the Foundation/2 area have been learning about new words: grande (big, large) and piccolo.  They participted in an activity where they decided which animals were grande or piccolo.  Lots of cutting and pasting and difference of opinions about each animal!!!

The Grade 4 class recentaly had a wonderful conversation and learning experience about how big Italy is compared to Australia.  We found that Italy can fit into Australian 25 times!!!  Australia has 27.2 million people and Italy has 58.9 million people.  

SPORT

On Monday 5 of our students were heading to Bendigo for the next stage of athletics. Unfortunately Madi has broken her ankle so now 4 students are heading to Bendigo on Monday for Division Athletics:

ART

We've really enjoyed our unit on drawing this term and packed so much into it including designing backdrops for the production, designing our own wristbands and headbands for the production, pop art and also some more challenging drawing activities. The senior students have been having a go at cutting out bits of magazine adverts and then having to colour match and try draw the missing part the same. The junior students really loved using different shapes to create their own monster drawing. 

We can't wait to see the chosen backdrop drawing designs projected onto the screen at our production next week. Well done to Charlotte, Marla, Ollie, Billy, Lucy, Daphne, Phoebe, Matilda, Angus and Xavier whose designs were chosen.
