Dear Parents and Carers,
March has been a highly productive and positive period at Le Page Primary School, with a strong focus on high-quality teaching and learning across all year levels. Staff have continued to work collaboratively to plan, assess, and refine their practice, ensuring all students are both supported and extended. Our ongoing focus on Literacy and Numeracy, guided by Learning Specialists and Leading Teachers, has strengthened consistency and clarity in instruction.
Differentiation remains a priority, with targeted support for students requiring additional assistance and enriched opportunities provided for high-achieving students. This balanced approach ensures every student is challenged and supported to achieve their personal best.
Student wellbeing continues to underpin all that we do. Our whole-school approach, including Respectful Relationships, Zones of Regulation, GEM, and The Leader in Me, supports students to develop positive behaviours and emotional regulation. Additional Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports, including IEPs and Student Support Group meetings, ensure individual needs are met in partnership with families and external agencies.
Student leadership and voice remain strong, with our Student Lighthouse Team actively contributing to school initiatives. Across all year levels, students are setting goals, tracking progress, and developing ownership of their learning.
Attendance has been a key focus, with staff working closely with families to promote consistent attendance habits. Regular attendance is essential for student success, and we will continue to prioritise this moving forward.
Students have also engaged enthusiastically in specialist programs, including Auslan, which continues to strengthen our inclusive school culture. Our learning environments remain calm, organised, and supportive, reflecting our commitment to providing high-quality spaces for learning.
Strong partnerships with families remain a cornerstone of our school, with ongoing communication ensuring our community stays informed and connected. I would like to thank our dedicated staff, engaged students, and supportive families for their continued contribution to our positive and high-performing school community.
Stephen Covey’s most important message was to focus on who you are becoming, not just what you achieve. He believed that lasting success comes from building strong character - integrity, responsibility, and discipline, rather than relying on quick fixes or external achievements. His 7 Habits are really about the idea that aligning our actions with timeless principles can help us live and lead effectively. If you wanted it in one powerful line, it’s this:
“Private victory precedes public victory.”In other words - master yourself first, and everything else follows.
Have a great weekend everyone.
