Father's Day Breakfast Friday August 30th
We would like to invite all fathers and special friends to a Father's Day Breakfast on Friday August 30th at 8.00am. An RSVP slip will be sent home to help us plan for catering.
Kelly Sports
The school will be completing a Kelly Sports Program over the remaining 6 weeks of Term 3. Students will have the opportunity develop skills in a range of sports including Gymnastics. These sessions will be mainly be held on Thursday mornings. For dates check the important dates page of the newsletter.
Book Week Dress Up Parade
The school will be holding its annual book week parade on Wednesday 21st August at 9.00am.
Parents and friends are welcome to come along to a special assembly and parade to view the students amazing costumes.
We encourage students to dress as a character from one of their favourite books!
Spring Sports
The Spring Sports will once again be held at the Bridgewater Recreation Reserve on Friday 6th September at 11.00am. Students in Grade's 3-6 will have the opportunity to participate in two sports with students from Lockwood South, Marong, Inglewood, St. Mary's Inglewood and Lockwood primary schools.
This will be a fun and social event providing students the opportunity to socialise with other students their age.
The event will start at 11.00am and as this is within walking distance the local excursion form you signed at the start of the year will cover it.
Camp to Pioneer Settlement
Thank you to everyone for returning the expression of interests for our camp to Swan Hill. The camp will be held on Monday 24th September - Wednesday 26th September. Over the coming weeks I will be sending home medical and consent forms over the coming weeks.
Inglewood Virtual Reality Excursion
On Thursday 22nd August at 9.00am students will travel by bus to Inglewood Primary School to participate in a fun day of Science learning. Students will get the opportunity to explore numerous science concepts through virtual reality experiences.
Clubs
This term we have introduced clubs on a Monday afternoon, Students had the opportunity to put their name down for a club. Clubs will give the students the opportunity to build upon their own strengths and interests while developing life skills.
- Clubs for this term include Building and Construction Club
- Tech/Minecraft Club
- Cooking Club
In each of these clubs not only will students have the opportunity to complete hands on activities but they will learn to plan and apply knowledge and skills from the curriculum to real life tasks.
2024 Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey
WE WANT OUR PARENTS / CAREGIVERS / GUARDIANS TO TELL US WHAT THEY THINK!
Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey offered by the Department of Education and is seeking your feedback. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage and appreciate your participation.
Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.
The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will be open online from Monday 29 July to Friday 30 August 2024.
All families are invited to participate in the survey.
The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.

Smile Squad
Free dental van visit at the school in August Smile Squad dental packs
All children deserve a healthy smile, and the Smile Squad free school dental program is working hard to help make sure this happens.
Your child(ren) will receive a free dental pack to bring home. The dental pack contains a toothbrush, full sized toothpaste, and an oral health brochure. Please take the time to read the brochure. It’s full of helpful hints and tips to help your whole family eat well, drink well and clean well – for life.
Smile Squad provides standard strength fluoride toothpaste that is generally used by ages six and over, unless recommended by a dental or trained health professional.
If your child is under six, please talk to a dental or trained health professional to find out if your child might benefit from using this toothpaste. You can also choose to put the toothpaste away until they turn six or give it to someone else in your family to use.
Do I need to attend my child’s appointment?
No, you do not need to attend your child’s appointment. You can attend if you would like to, and you can take your child to the community dental clinic if you prefer.
