Faith Matters

Dear St Francis Xavier Families,

So many lovely faith events have been occurring within our community within the last couple of weeks.

PRAYERS IN PYJAMAS

We were delighted to host the 2024 Prayers in Pyjamas Evening with our Junior School families and so pleased with the huge number of attendees.

I am always thrilled to see how excited and keen the children are to participate in this event and there's no doubt that a large part of that excitement is to be able to share something with their parents and carers.

Thank you to Miss Melanie, Miss Vanessa, Miss Nicole, Miss Anto, and Miss Jane for their preparation of the evening's prayerful activities.  A special thank you to Gabriel, Lexi and Max, our Year 6 Faith in Action Leaders, who also attended to assist the staff. I'm so impressed with the dedication in which they undertake their responsibilities and their willingness to give of their own time. And, of course a huge thank you to all the families who were able to join us for a very special evening.

MASSES

Our Prep class and the 3/4s recently attended a 9:15am parish mass. As always we are particularly proud of the way in which the children conducted themselves and took on liturgical responsibilities. Fr Chinua has been very supportive in permitting us to use readings that reflect the class faith focuses or the children's versions of the readings.  

Please remember you are welcome to sit with your child at these masses. 

We attended mass as a whole school today for the Feast of the Assumption.
