Maths 

This week in maths we have started working with decimals again.  The students are consolidating their understanding of the place value system and have spent the week comparing, ordering, adding and subtracting decimals.

Writing 

This week the students have been practicing identifying and using techniques that poets use when writing and performing slam poetry. They have been working hard to better understand their social justice topic by conducting further research. Next week we will start writing the poems. I am looking forward to seeing what they create! 

Important dates:

On the 3rd of September, our 5/6 classes will be attending Mass at 9:15am.
