Writing 

We have been working really hard on preparing ourselves to write a spoken word poem. We have been learning about all of the features and completing mini tasks. This week we began looking at personification. Personification is when human qualities or characteristics are given to non-human things, such as animals, nature, and objects.

Maths

Over the next two weeks our focus in mathematics is on decimals. Students are working in different groups on different targeted areas. Our main areas of learning are: reading decimals, ordering decimals on a number line and adding and subtracting decimals. 

Important dates:

On the 3rd of September, our 5/6 classes will be attending Mass at 9:15am.
