Year 3 - Olympics

Over the first weeks of Term 3 Year 3 students have enjoyed learning about the Olympic Games as part of our inquiry unit. We have investigated some of the symbols of the Olympic games including the Olympic Rings. We recorded the medal count for a number of the countries participating in the Olympics. As part of Stage 2 PE/Sport we joined with Year 4 and are holding our own mini Olympic Competition in mixed teams. The four countries chosen by the teams to compete are Mexico, Spain, Portugal and France. We have also investigated some of our Australian athletes competing this year and their journey to the Olympics. 

PSSA Athletics

On Friday 9 August, 16 Uralla Central School students travelled to Armidale to compete at the PSSA athletics. All students participated to a high standard in all of their events, showing great sportsmanship. All of the students should be proud of their efforts and representing the school so well. A special mention to all the families that travelled and supported all of our students on the day. Final results will be announced once the school receives them.
