From the Leadership Team

World Teachers' Day

World Teachers' Day is celebrated each year in October, with this year being on the 27th. As this day is Sports Day, our teachers were recognised by staff last week with a fantastic morning tea and beautiful notebook.

A huge thank you goes to all of our amazing teachers at Para Vista PS. We have a fabulous team who work so hard to support our students and provide quality learning experiences for everyone. We value and appreciate everything you do.

Can you work out who each of the characters are?

Planning for 2024

This term we begin to undertake many processes to plan for 2024. One of these is determining our class configurations, staffing and placements of students. When determining student class placements, we will dedicate time for our staff to discuss each student and their appropriate place for 2024. These discussions are informed by student learning, social and emotional needs, peer, friend and staff connections and other additional supports required. All decisions are made with the best interest of the student at the centre of discussions. This process takes many weeks and our plan is to share 2024 class placements in the last week of term.

An important part of this process is parent involvement and giving families the opportunity to provide any information that may assist with appropriate placements. Please note that due to the staffing process, requests for specific teachers will not be able to be taken into consideration.

If you have information you'd like us to take into account for your child, please email parent.support483@schools.sa.edu.au before Friday November 3rd.

Safe parking

We have noticed recently that there are an increasing number of families driving into the driveway next to the oval to stop or park at pick up time. This driveway is for service and emergency access and as there are numbers of students that use this to leave the school, it is dangerous for cars to be in this area at that time. Please use the extensive parking available on Montague Rd or Lorraine Ave to come into the school for dropping off and picking up students. We appreciate your support in keeping everyone safe.

Enjoy your weekend.
