Our Library Author Visit with Di Walker

Our GSSC students were fortunate to have the local author Di Walker visit our library during lunchtime. Prior to her visit, many students had already immersed themselves in Di's books, sparking their curiosity and prompting numerous questions about her characters, themes, and ideas. Di generously shared insights into her writing process, her experiences with publishers, and the inspiration behind her work, even offering a tantalizing glimpse of what to expect in her upcoming novel. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Di for graciously dedicating her time to engage with our enthusiastic readers and budding writers at GSSC. We eagerly await the release of her fourth book!

If you would like to follow Di along her journey, follow her on Instagram @diwalkerbooks or visit her website https://www.diwalkerbooks.com/

Book Club Review

Unpacking Harper Holt

By Di Walker

Today I’m going to be talking about Unpacking Harper Holt book by Di Walker. It is a novel about a young girl whose world is tipped upside down after having to move to a new city.

I found this book to feel so real. It made me appreciate what I have because I don’t know what may be around the corner.

I recommend this novel for anyone going through a tough time and for anyone needing help in finding sunshine again.
