NEWS AROUND THE SCHOOL

Dear Parents and Carers,
On Tuesday 12th May, we will be celebrating World Laughter Day at school. Students are encouraged to come dressed in silly costumes, including bright colours, fun hats, glasses and, of course, silly socks! There is no donation required for this event.
Throughout the day, students will take part in a range of fun activities in class and at lunchtime.
The Year 6 Graduation Committee will also be selling silly socks for $8 each, before school from Tuesday 5th May to Tuesday 12th May. Please note this will be cash only.
Following the event, students will be allowed to wear their silly socks every Tuesday for the remainder of Term 2 to help promote kindness and laughter across the school.
MPS will also be celebrating International Day on Tuesday 12th May,
the same day that we are celebrating World Laughter Day. Students can decide which one they would like to dress up for on the day.
International Day promotes peace, tolerance, inclusivity, understanding, and solidarity. If they would like, students can come dressed up in their cultural dress or anything that makes them feel proud of their culture or heritage!
Thank you for supporting the students in celebrating International Day!
