Year 1/2

In these first few weeks of Term 2, a lot has been happening in the junior building!

We are reading and beginning to write informative texts about dinosaurs and other less extinct animals, such as the hedgehog, the bat and other creatures of our choice. If you have a pet in the family, you might like to gather some information about the pet, so that your child can write about them at school! Think about the habitat, the diet and other interesting features. 

In Maths, we are starting a new cycle, all about measuring time! It will involve learning the days of the week, the months and understanding a calendar, including calculating how many days/months before birthdays and other celebrations.

As always, we have been celebrating students displaying our school values with the Learning Legend award and it is truly heartwarming to see how students are excited for each other!
