Courage to Care Incursion
Last Friday, we were fortunate to welcome the wonderful volunteers from Courage to Care, who worked with our Grade 5/6 students on the theme of being an upstander. Through powerful storytelling, they challenged stereotypes, shared meaningful real-life experiences, and encouraged students to think deeply about their role in standing up for others. It was an engaging and impactful session that sparked important conversations within our school community.
Social and Emotional Learning this term!
This term, our Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) focus across the school is on Positive Coping and Problem-Solving, as part of the Respectful Relationships curriculum.
Families can explore the Respectful Relationships resources here.
In the senior school, students are participating in a weekly wellbeing survey. This provides valuable feedback for teachers, allowing them to respond to students’ needs and tailor their teaching to best support each class.
Our Year 5/6 students will also begin their Amici Insieme Leadership training this week. Through this program, they will develop important skills in communication, teamwork, organisation and leadership. They will use these skills to prepare for leading our whole-school social and emotional program in Term 3.
We are looking forward to celebrating IDAHOBIT day in week 6 - the inclusion action team will be in touch with more information!
Thanks everyone,
See you around!
Caro
