Next week, we will proudly celebrate Education Support (ES) Staff Appreciation Week at Bridgewater Primary School. While Education Support Day officially falls on Saturday 16 May this year, we will take the opportunity throughout the week to recognise and thank the incredible Education Support staff who make such a positive difference in our school every single day.
Our Education Support staff play an essential role in the life of our school. They work alongside teachers to support student learning, wellbeing, inclusion, and engagement. Whether they are assisting students in the classroom, supporting social and emotional development, helping with programs and activities, preparing resources, or ensuring students feel safe and connected, their contribution is invaluable.
At Bridgewater Primary School, we are fortunate to have dedicated and caring ES staff who build strong relationships with students and families and go above and beyond to support our school community. Their patience, compassion, flexibility, and commitment help create a positive environment where all students can thrive.
Schools simply could not function without the hard work and dedication of Education Support staff. They are often the quiet achievers behind the scenes, but their impact is seen every day in the confidence, growth, and success of our students.
We thank all of our Education Support staff for the important work they do and for the care and encouragement they show to our students each day. We appreciate everything you do for our school community.
Next week, Bridgewater Primary School will proudly celebrate Education Week — a wonderful opportunity to showcase our school, celebrate learning, and connect with our community.
Throughout the week, we will be offering school tours for families who are considering enrolling their children at Bridgewater Primary School. These tours provide a great opportunity for prospective families to see our classrooms and learning spaces in action, meet staff and students, and experience the welcoming and supportive environment that makes our school so special.
As a small rural school, we are proud of the strong relationships we build with students and families, our personalised approach to learning, and the many opportunities available to students both inside and outside the classroom.
We will also be hosting our Information Evening on Wednesday 20 December. This evening will provide families with the chance to learn more about our programs, values, and vision for the future, as well as ask questions and meet members of our school community.
We encourage any families interested in learning more about Bridgewater Primary School to attend and see firsthand what our school has to offer.

Last Friday morning, we were delighted to welcome many of our mums, grandmothers, and special family members to Bridgewater Primary School for our annual Muffins for Mum celebration in honour of Mother’s Day.
The morning was a wonderful opportunity for students to spend time with the important people in their lives and celebrate the care, support, and love they provide each and every day. Families enjoyed sharing muffins, conversations, and smiles together before the beginning of the school day, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere across the school.
It was fantastic to see so many families attend and to witness the excitement on students’ faces as they proudly shared the morning with their loved ones. Events like these help strengthen the strong sense of community that makes Bridgewater Primary School such a special place.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the celebration and helped make the morning such a success. We hope all of our mums and special carers had a wonderful Mother’s Day and felt truly appreciated for everything they do.

The Loddon Calder District School Sports Cluster held our annual Junior Fun Day and 3-6 Cross Country at Malone Park in Marong last Wednesday, 22nd April. It was a beautiful sunny Autumn day, enabling our younger students to interact with our cluster schools and and our grade 3 to 6 students to perform their personal best on the cross country track.
Some will be going onto the next level, competing at the Bendigo Race course against all Regional schools. The students that qualify have been notified, but would like to take this opportunity to congratulate their efforts.
Students who qualified are: Odin, Marley & Emily
