Spotlight on Learning- Platypus

This term, the Platypus pod has been exploring the fascinating world of living things through our Science CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) program. Guided by the questions “How do humans use plants and animals?” and “How do we record instructions for others to follow and understand?”, students engaged in rich, inquiry-based learning experiences.
Students investigated the features of living things, their environments, and how they grow, change, and reproduce. Through hands-on activities, they explored how humans rely on plants and animals in everyday life, developing an appreciation for their importance in meeting our needs.
Throughout the unit, students used both Korean and English to describe their observations, asked questions, and explained their thinking. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they develop both their scientific understanding and bilingual communication skills.
See what we have been up to!
